The Audiopods are coming…

Yes, they are on the way – we’ve started recording and soon you will be able to listen to the stories as well as reading them…perfect for downloading onto your mp3 player and sitting in the sunshine!  (We will try very hard to get them all up and done before the sunshine disappears again.)

International Men of Mystery

Hello,

I have a handy little gadget on this website that lets me see where in the world my visitors are coming from, and I would just like to say how delighted I am to have had visits from so many different places – the USA, France, Germany, Russia, Mexico, China, and the Ivory Coast are just some of them.  It’s both humbling and exciting to think that my stories are being read by people all over the world, and I would like to say thanks and invite you to post a comment on anything you’ve read and enjoyed.  I’d love to get some international feedback!

Magical

Angela Carter’s Book of Fairy Tales… This is a gem of a book, strange and funny and fascinating.  The artwork on both the cover (by Roxanna Bikadoroff) and inside (by Corinna Sargood) is striking and beautiful – I particularly like the cover, it reminds of something that I can’t quite put my finger on…

I also like the way the stories are grouped, into categories such as ‘Clever women, resourceful girls’ or ‘Good girls and where it gets them’.  The country of origin is noted for each tale; Norwegian, Greek, Innuit, English Gypsy, Russian, to name but a few.  Each story is like a little whispered treat from a wise old Nanna, and you feel you must listen carefully to every word.   The next one I’ll be curling up with is The Resourceful Wife (Indian Tribal).
