Racing for Life

On sat 11th July I will be running/jogging/walking/crawling 5k around Lydiard Park in Swindon attempting to raise some money (and generally be a bit fitter) for Cancer Research.  I’m very proud to say that there are a number of survivors in my family and I’d like to do my bit for them.

So I need sponsorship!  It’s dead easy, you can do it online at http://www.raceforlifesponsorme.org/hannahhutchins

Thank you in advance,

Two for one…

Ok, since I last posted I’ve read Scarlett Thomas’s The End of Mr Y, which I found interesting and frustrating in almost equal measure, and now I’m rereading Arthur Golden’s Memoirs of a Geisha.  I love going back to old books, things I’ve read before.  It’s comfort reading, revisiting familiar territory.   Tea and cakes all round.

Hello strangers

Well, terribly sorry for the prolonged lack of blogging – real life got in the way there for a little while.  Have to admit it was rather fun real life – the first family camping trip, Hutchins Jnr’s first trip to the beach – but that’s no excuse for neglecting you, and my new stories too.  So now I’m back (from outer space) and ready to get on with some writing.  Tally ho, pip pip and hoorah!
