A hopeful fairytale to raise money for children in desperate need
The Forest is a fantasy, but everyday, everywhere, children are facing monsters in reality. Death, hunger, loneliness, fear, abuse – these demons stalk the real world for too many. All proceeds from the sale of this book will go to Save The Children, one of the many charities that are working to slay the dragons, cook the witches, and chase away the darkness.
We’re lucky. We get to shut the book.

Self Publishing Awards
Hello,
I’ve just discovered Chapter One Promotions’ Self Published Book Award, which I will of course be entering with The Forest…as long as it’s finished by Feb 28th 2013. (It will be!) Had a quick trawl of t’interweb for other self-publishing competitions, but the only ones I could find seemed to be in America – anyone heard of any UK ones?

Nope, it’s not an imaginative post title, I’ll grant you that. But it is what I sincerely wish for us all, myself included. And while it’s true that I had hoped that The Forest would be ready as a little Christmas gifty, the delayed arrival will just make 2012 all the more exceptional…

Nearly there…
Hi guys, sorry I’ve been quiet for a little bit…
It’s nearly, nearly finished. Lovely Laura (as I may now permanently refer to her) is snowed under with proper, paying jobs at the moment, and is working very hard to get the last Forest illustration and cover finished. Soon as it’s done, it’ll be all systems go!
